I am excited to have this device. I have had amazing results using my many red light therapy devices. Some cheap ones, some expensive ones, on me, my family, and our pets. this one adds to an array of ways I can use red light. Here are the ways this one adds to my other devices: It can be used to target a tiny area, and I can use it while sitting, watching TV (unlike the big ones)
My Golden Retriever has struggled with stiffness for the past year, but since using the LumaPet pad he’s been so much more relaxed. He literally falls asleep with it on, just like in this picture, and I can see him moving around easier after sessions. It feels amazing knowing I’m giving him real relief without meds
My 8.5 yr. old Corgi was going through a lot since 2019. He was unable to get up by himself and walk 20 steps. I had to carry him up and down the stairs. After spending almost $4000 on meds, several X-rays and MRI of back and knees, we found out that he has an inflammation in his ribs and severe arthritis in both knees. VET put him on Prednisone, Tramadol and Gabapentin for a long period of time, which helped temporarily but also made him sluggish and not himself anymore.
Out of desperation, I tried red light therapy at home. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, but within a few weeks I noticed real changes. He started to get up on his own, wagging his tail like before. Soon he could walk down the hallway without stumbling. The best part is that he doesn’t rely as heavily on the meds now — I only use them occasionally.
This therapy gave my boy his mobility back and allowed him to enjoy simple things again, like going for short walks and climbing onto the couch to sit next to me. I wish I had discovered this sooner instead of wasting years and thousands of dollars. For any pet parent with an older dog suffering from arthritis, this has been a true lifesaver.
I wasn’t sure if this would make a difference, but after a week of sessions my pup looks so much more comfortable. He used to stiffen up when lying down, now he stretches out on the mat and falls asleep while the light does its work. It’s become part of his evening routine and I honestly see him moving around with more ease the next day. Totally worth it for my furry best friend.
